CHILDREN
DAY CELEBRATION IN FARIDABAD
Various
schools across the city held Children’s Day celebrations recently.
The day was marked with great festivity and innovation by the
schools in their own respect and style. While kindergarten
at the Tagore Academy had a party time all through the day,
children at the Jiva Public School put up an impressive
display of rangoli designs circling the school boundary.
Tagore
Academy had taken abundant use of rose buds keeping in view
the liking Pandit Nehru had for roses. “It was a gratitude we
felt we were being given when parents and audience in general
came dressed up in traditional Nehru-style caps and apparels,”
said the Tagore Academy principal, Manorma Arora.
St.
Mary’s Convent organised a number of variety shows and cultural
programmes throughout the day with special emphasis on environment.
“During the event we organised a common lunch for the students
just to inculcate the value of togetherness,” said the St. Mary’s
principal, Sister Vandana. Environment was also a highlight
at the Jiva Pubic School and those as delicate as nature itself
handled the skit; the tiny tots.
The
school organised singing, mehndi and fancy dress competitions.
A speech by the educational director, Steven Rudolph and the
director, Rishi Pal Chauhan, urged the students to set goals
and visions for their lives and learn from different moments
that encompass it.
