V.110
Signaling
V.110
signaling is a form of ISDN rate adaptation. V.110 is a
fixed-frame based rate adaptation standard that subdivides
the ISDN channel capacity so it can carry one lower speed
(sub-rate) data channel. This standard is rarely used in
North America.
Both
the slot files (for Shivaź T1/E1 PRI cards) and ShivOS have
been modified to support rate adapted V.110 calls.
Note: This feature is not supported on Xircom* PRI
modules
Identifying
V.110 Calls
Calls
can be identified as V.110 by either:
Supported
Speeds
V.110
signaling supports speeds of 9600, 19200, and 38400 Kbps.
Shiva T1/E1 PRI cards support a different capacity of V.110
signaling for each call speed. If mixed call speeds are
used, a weighting is applied:
| Call

The
maximum number of units on an Shiva T1/E1 PRI card is 30
.For example:
20 calls @9600 (20) + 3 calls @19200 (6) + 1 call @38400(4)
= 30 units
More
calls than this may hang your Shiva device.

using the forced method, use the following keywords for
